The Best Plus Size Bras

This plus size bra post has been several months in the making. As a card carrying “I’m not wearing that thing” no-bra-club member, this post was a little intimidating. I wanted to find the most comfortable, supportive, versatile plus size bras out there – and I think I did!

About a year ago I gave up on bras. I couldn’t find ones that fit, sizing was always all over the place when I would try them on, they suffocated my back rolls, and often times didn’t even make my breasts look spectacular. I was tired of struggling to find a plus size bra I liked. I made the switch to bralettes and never looked back. And then I found Brayola.

Brayola approached me and told me about their website and database of bras. They collect info about your favorite bra and what sizes you wear, and compare it to other people who have provided the same info. This allows them to recommend tons of bras that are perfectly suited to you and your bra size! Pretty genius, right?

The bra seen in the pictures above is my pick from Brayola, and I love it. They have options up to a 58 band size, and an I cup. Yeah – no joke! Check out my other pick from Brayola and my this-bra-doesn’t-make-me-lose-my-mind favorites down below!

Goddess Full Figure Soft Cup Bra

This bra is an ultimate favorite of mine. It’s wire free, really pretty when on (trust me on this), and goes up to a size 56H! The seams of the bra are larger than standard bras, and they don’t irritate my back rolls. The fabric is soft and the clasps in the back are sturdy. No surprise that this tops my list!

Curvy Couture Bras On Amazon

Curvy Couture makes some of the most comfortable bras I’ve ever put on my body. If I had to choose one bra to wear for the rest of my life it would hands down, be a Curvy Couture bra. They are sexy, and come with matching panties, and their sizing is accurate and consistent. Sizes up to 4x, prices starting around $25.

Convertible Butterfly Bra

This is now (and possibly forever?) the only strapless bra I will ever put on my body. Don’t be intimidated by the double straps – they are heaven! This bra manages to stay where you want it, not roll down, make your breasts look fabulous, and be comfortable, all at the same time. It may be an actual miracle. I haven’t worn a strapless plus size bra in years and I can comfortably wear this all day. My only complaint? It doesn’t come in more colors.

Lace Back Smoother Underwire Bra

Have you ever tried something on and just thought “wow that is so smart!!!”? That’s how I feel about the design of this bra. it’s a obvious solution to back smoothing – just make the back of the bra larger so it doesn’t irritate your shoulders. So simple and so effective, and so comfortable! Avenue is definitely lacking in size range on this one, but if you can get it in your size it’s well worth it!

The Best Bralettes

After the fall of my beloved Lovesick, I had to search for new bralettes. These are what I wear almost exclusively in my every day life. I don’t generally bother with underwires or padding, and I’m quite picky about the durability and fit of my lacy little bralette numbers. Hands down, the best ones are from Torrid. They have tons of different styles and colors and most go up to size 6.

Glamorise Elegance Underwire Lace Bra

Glamorise carries bras up to size 50G and I’m obsessed with pretty much all of them. This one takes the cake for it’s pretty detailing and delicate pink touches – because we don’t find much of that in plus size bras! This bra is comfortable and super supportive and I was able to make it more than 5 hours in this bra – which is a pretty amazing accomplishment for me!

Light Impact Sports Bra

The brand behind this bra, Leading Lady, has been blowing my mind with their affordable options. I tried 3 bras from them and loved them all, but I’ve got to give it up to their sports bra for being the most versatile. If you’re a “sports bras only” daily wear-er this is the bra for you. Supportive but not cumbersome, and sizes that go all the way up to 56G!!!!

Whew. After 3 months of trying on plus size bras and seeing if I can withstand a day with one on I’m proud to say that these are the winners. There are a lot of duds out there but I feel really confident saying that these will have your little heart jumping for joy!

Must be nice to feel supported and sexy. They don’t make them for women my size 63D. I hate not wearing a bra when I’m outside but I have no choice. So I guess I’m stuck squeezing into bras that are too small, that’ll ride up my back, leave indents in body, scars on my shoulders and eventually rip after a few wears. Yay!

Anyone know if any one sells like cup size of 68g? Looking for a family member in desperate need

Help! All the models wearing bras look like they have a waistline. My fat starts directly under my breasts so no bra so far will not roll up or start cutting into my armpits. My midsection protrudes farther than my breasts so a 'shaper' won't work. Any suggestions besides lose the gut because I've been trying for years and I'm 75 now, so there's not much hope.
