Summer is winding down. I am not thrilled, but every year I feel a little bit more prepared for the temporary gloom that I experience in the cooler grey months. I make sure I take vitamins, and sit in my front window while I work so that the warm morning sun hits my skin, and I ask people to be a little extra patient with me because some of us just don’t do well when the days get shorter. So I’m not as anxious as I once was about the impending season change. In fact, I may actually be looking forward to Autumn plus size clothes for the first time in years!

I don’t know that I’ll be celebrating cozy sweaters and leggings just yet, but I can definitely appreciate prepping all my adorable Summertime dresses (the one I’m wearing above is on sale for $32!) for slightly cooler weather. My favorite ways to do that are with an adorable pair of booties and a cute hat. If you’re feeling unsure about wearing booties with dresses, my best advice is to get a comfortable pair that fits well on your legs or ankles. Often, my booties are a little tight on my ankles and don’t have that relaxed look that I’m always going for. The solution? I don’t zip them up! They’re just as comfortable, and have that effortless look I love.

Another great way to prepare your plus size clothes for the cooler weather is to peek through your winter accessories like hats and scarves and see if there are any you can pull out that would be appropriate for the warmer weather. And of course, throwing on a cool leather jacket never hurt any outfit.

What are your favorite ways to make your plus size clothes translate from Summer to Autumn? Tell me about them in the comments below! I need suggestions!!!!

hi i have just found your bold and am loving it so much. thanks. i look forward to autumn here in the UK as it rains a lot we do outerwear and winter cloths well. i have a huge collection of coats and jackets, from casual lightweight parkas to structured tailored knee length coats that finish off any outfit and look smart. my preferred style is arty/casual so I'm always on the lookout for something a bit different, and not plain black. plus never underestimate a truly great scarf, especially vintage silk ones :-)
