Rarely (ie never) do I choose an outfit based on how how damn GOOD I’m gonna look. I know what is aesthetically pleasing. I know how to make myself look perfectly palpable to the masses. But I got a lot of feelings, and my clothes are along for the ride.

I want to FEEL awesome in everything I wear. I want to feel beautiful and free to experience my way-too-lovely life!  I want my clothes to be an outward extension of the love I have for myself and the world around me. I want to settle into them and feel comfy and safe. I want my clothes to allow me to move and express who I am with all the hand gestures and wild dancing I see fit!

So I think I’m going to do these “Outfits In Motion” posts once every couple weeks. Because real life doesn’t look like a posed picture in my yard. It looks like me holding a picnic blanket and walking several blocks to a bouncy house in a park to see my best friend and her kiddos. It looks like comfy shoes (that omg are also too cute I’m dying over them!) and shades on top of my head. It looks likes me taking off my bra halfway through the day because CAN’T NOBODY HOLD THESE BABIES BACK WE GOTTA BE FREE, OKAY?!?!?!

Most importantly, outfits in motion look like you didn’t even have a moment of time to spare away from your day to take that picture. Because seeing a bounce house full of tiny people with their faces painted was really distracting. And because the smells of popcorn made you forget you’re wearing the cutest shoes on earth. Outfits in motion are perfect because they’re real. And real life is just pretty damn good.

But I’ll still tell you where I got all this cute stuff, duh!!

Hi fatgirlflow!!, I'm ddhall (a mature, plus size lady) I read your page periodically and appreciate the way you express yourself. I rarely ever comment on anything but I had to this time.. You look amazing iin this dress!! You always look great in your outfits (that's why I follow you to get ideas) but you talked about 'what's flattering',I believe flattering is the way this dress fit YOUR body it enhances Your curves and make the body YOU have look extra amazing. To me that's what flattering means and this dress flatters (enhance) the style and beauty YOU already own. Keep up the great work young lady.!
